Some weird things
Is it normal that in DLV6.2 all Cavalry units dont have Special Formations ?
Also Pike Soldiers cant Stop Spearwall formation.
And another thing is when i siege an enemy and im in center to capture the settlement i dont get a timer to win.
Is that normal or have i installed or done something wrong

Re: Some weird things
That is all normal, Maggy, and I am responsible for all those details.
Cantabrian circle makes HA easier to take down with heavy cavalry and quite severely disadvantages infantry archers while making little difference to crossbows and guns which have a faster and flatter trajectory.
Wedge is a nice formation to travel in but when cav charges come into it, wedge sucks. And I don't want heavy cav that aren't charging.
The issue that prompted removal of both of these formations was that the AI seemed very keen to use both all the time. Since then I've written my own AI army formations in a way that might exclude unscripted use of a secondary formation, I should check this. Since if the AI isn't being a moron with them all the time then the player should be free to use the feature. So I will look at this again and thankyou for bringing this point up
Pikes cannot leave formation; Only the player will take them out of phalanx, and usually to move faster. To be fair on the AI, and because pikes are over-powered but over-sized and ungainly, the player is deliberately prevented from using them without phalanx.
The 'hold the settlement square' timer. I found it hugely unrealistic but that wasn't the reason. The reason was that the AI over responds to the situation that causes the timer, it will abandon gates and other fortifications, etc. and come to fight in the square. Now square defence tactics will only result from reduced manpower. Actually I am pretty proud of this one
