Bodyguards Question

I've read how to change the Bodyguards on starting heroes, like Boromir and Faramir etc but I'm wondering if there is a way to change individual heroes that join later? For example, Damrod joins during a Campaign and I'm wondering if there is a way to change his Bodyguards to Ithilien Rangers?

For the starting generals you have to edit their bodyguard unit in descr_strat, and in export_descr_unit for everyone else.

Although if you do it that way, all new generals will have Ithilien Ranger bodyguards.

That was the impression I was under from reading other posts on it, but I wasn't sure entirely. I was hoping their was still a way to individually change them.

No. Unless it's scripted that a named general with a listed type of bodyguard spawns, then they'll only load the first bodyguard that appears in the EDU.
