Naruto: total war
okey, i am not a modder, but a idea came rushing in my head, a naruto mod, i love the japanese anime hsow naruto and have tought of the possibilitys for a time.
factions:
the village hidden in the leaf aka konoha - have leaf ninjas, pretty god in long range combat
the village hidden in the sand - have sand or wind ninjas, wind ninjas have fast but kinda weak attack and sand ninjas have amezing damage but slow rate
the village hidden in the mist - water ninjas for the most, but have the 7 swordsman clan, mostly sword using units, but have those ninnjas that use water based attacks, they have pretty fast and a good splash in the attacks but low damage.
the village hidden in the sound(or something) - these are like a superb faction, they got good damage and rate, with a little splash.
there are porbably more that could be in, but this is just and idea, i dont have much time in my free days, so if anyone would like too make this mod i dont care, but you can contact me, i can help in story
PS: im from norway so my language is kinda bad

Re: Naruto: total war
I also like Naruto, but to be honest, if you don't have skills then pretty much everyone else who can mod has theire own mods to worry. Rembember when orochimaru attacked Konoha and then they almost had no one to do missions? That's the case here.
I wouldn't mind see a mod like this done. But I just don't think the Total War engine is right for a Naruto mod.

Re: Naruto: total war
I don't think a Naruto mod for Total War would work, to be honest. I'm a die hard Otaku, but I have doubts about the engine and adapting Ninja combat to it. All the elements would have to be heavily simplified, and the animation work for any justsu usage would be difficult, particularly since fingers don't move in Total War.
Finally, the whole combat dynamic would be totally incorrect. The soldiers would march forward in lines and fight in traditional European fashion. Ninjas would just sit and slash enemies (or karate chop, if you prefer), rather jumping about and making thorough nuisances of themselves.
The number of anime that can be used as inspiration for a TW mod are few and far between. Even my favorite, Fullmetal Alchemist, would be difficult to adapt given the nature of alchemy. If you want to see a Naruto rts, then perhaps a different engine would be better suited to your prupose, but I don't think you'll be able to find one that can "accurately" depict scenes of ninja combat.

Re: Naruto: total war
quite agree, naruto tw is impossible, except you want ninja skins running around using the simple medieval 2 weapon animations.
I would love to see tho Berserk total war =)
