    Default RTW-BI

This was asked before last July regarding any fix or compatiblity with RTW Barbarian Invasion. Unfortunately, it was never answered. Is there a fix that would permit it's campatibility with RTW-BI, or will there be one in RM3?

But... in that way, would it be possible to play, for example, night battles, or add units with BI special attacks (e.g. shield wall)??

    RTW using BI.exe

This is what you do to make a non-BI mod playable with BI.exe:

    1. Copy all files from:

    ...ModXXX\Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
and paste in a new folder called:
    ...ModXXX\Data\world\maps\campaign\barbarian_invasion

In your new barbarian_invasion folder, change this line in descr_strat.txt:

    campaign imperial_campaign
    options bi

    into this:

    campaign barbarian_invasion
    options bi

    2. Make a copy of the:

    …Mod\Data\text\imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt
    and rename it to:
    ...Mod\Data\text\barbarian_invasion_regions_and_settlement_names.txt

    3. Make a copy of ModXXX\Data\text\campaign_descriptions.txt and:

    a. Add the bi campaign descriptions to the bottom of ...ModXXX\Data\text\campaign_descriptions.txt
    b. or easier, convert all the imperial_campaign to barbarian_invasion campaign descriptions in your ...ModXXX\Data\text\campaign_descriptions.txt

    4. Create ShortCut to desktop using the BI.exe and add to the end of the targetline: “RomeTW-BI.exe”
    -show_err –nm –mod:Mod

    5. Delete the old map.rwm file in …Mod\Data\world\maps\base

    -show_err –nm –mod:Mod

    5. Delete the old map.rwm file in …Mod\Data\world\maps\base
6.Since RM2 is modfoldered and is a total-conversion, all you need is rename files like mentioned above and create this shortcut :
    "C:\Program Files\Activition\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI" -show_err -nm -mod:RomeMedievalMod
    or
    "C:\Program Files\Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI" -show_err -nm -mod:RomeMedievalMod

@Mataputas: Yes, Religion, night battles and many features of bi can be added manually and..... i'm not sure about roman_senate stuff.

can_swim, shield wall, power charge goes to export_descr_unit.txt file
religion in descr_region.txt and you will have to add icons for it in the ui folder
night battles? trait file and descr_stat.txt

    am i missing something?

Since I have a tendency to screw things up when I try to change things around like that I'll wait and use the released version.

I'll test the night battles in campaign today or tomorrow, and then online with tolaro within this week. Then, I'll post the download link of the addon.

Night battles are working ok, the only issue is that I have to add some night battle traits so that it is possible to play in campaign (at the time, the prebattle menu in campaign shows the option "Attempt a Night attack", but it is disabled for everyone, due to the lack of adequate traits). I'm having some personal stuff to deal with so the release might take longer than expected (no more than a week I think)
