Default Pre-Battle Speeches & Unit Sounds

A few months back there was much talk about making prebattle speeches for the different armies and I was seriously interested in doing the voice over work for them... Is that still needed or is it not a major priority right now... I'm guessing it isn't a major priority but I would love to go ahead and make some more samples?! I did do the narration in the below COW intro, just for reference:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVZzj...layer_embedded

If anyone would like to submit some speeches for the different factions, Please don't hesitate... just let me know how you imagine it sounding and I will do my best!

    Thanks!

    BTW
Here is a sample for the Orc Warboss I did very quickly... Please don't be too critical!

Please let me know if there are any requests... I am trying to brainstorm for PreBattle Speeches atm.

What faction voices are you interested in? I dont have any long-speeches (for now :>) but i have a lot of short-speeches for in-game battle events (see the "In-game event voices" thread)

I would like to try all the factions. Let me know what Faction each speech is for and I will give it a shot.

That Orc voice was a lot better than I expected, the only suggestion I would make is to have him sound more angry and savage. Maybe you could use a sound editing program to make it perfect and try to get rid of the metallic microphone sound, I've never used a sound program though so I don't know.

Yeah, I made that little snippet on XP's Sound Recorder... I'm not very good with sound programs and don't own one either...

    Anyone?

Your voice work aint that bad infact its rly good but without a new Microphone this aint gonna be worth it dont take this the wrong way but your work gets ruined by that Microphone

I wish i could help out but im no sound expert... well not tottaly nub anyways

here is a list of free sound programs u might find the one u need i used to do some sound modding for Day of defeat source and Cs:S

    http://www.fpsbanana.com/toolcats/12...iews&sort=desc

Some the programs is rubbish but im sure ull find the one that will do the voices

Some kids like to pee there names on the snow in winter... Chuck Norris can pee his name into solid concrete!

Chuck Norris doesn't have to shape his hair... It stays in shape out of sheer fear.

A snake once bit Chuck. After five days of extreme pain... The snake died.

Got rid of the background noise. I'm going to try my hand at some battle events and see how it goes.

I'll give the voices a listen to soon. Mic quality is very important, and I can't stress that enough. I know some voice acting for Rohan on the Third Age Total War mod really irks me, and wasn't helped by the poor mic quality.

Hi! We already add orcs voices to mod. Serching only Good "Waaaaagh" sound. Wait for patch. Now we need chaos and elves voices.

You could try downloading the free trial for Warhammer Online and recording voices in the game. For example when you click Chaos NPCs they will say different things like "for Chaos!" or "for the dark gods!"
If you make an Orc you can type /waaagh and he will yell it.

Aaaa, these are unit sounds (i just noticed) so scottish accent is ok. I thought you are talking about voices for events during battle (e.g. you killed general or your general is killed). For events it would be better to have specific texts for each race. If you don't have them yet, I have some propositions (maybe not all good, but some may find use) in thread "In-game events voices". And KhainOfNosgoth could record them, as he seems to be willing to do this.

Accent for Sylvania is not appropriate.

Sylvania, vampires, are inspired from Dracula => Romanian ruler, named Vlad Dracul nicknamed Vlad Tepes(the impaler).

Romanian language is clear in words and speaking.Accents for Sylvania is Hungarian accent, and is totally different&wrong.

    Check this.

Sylvania does not need any voices in my opinion. There is none in the army that speaks.
    Sheletons...........dead
    Zombies.............dead
    Ghosts...........dead
    bats............animals
Vampires............certain that what they want to do will be done no matter how many die and if they are killed they will come back again.

So you will never hear ''My Lord our left flank is collapsing'' or ''Our general is running away''
    Just my thoughts though.
If somebody could do it, the mod would become trully awesome. However the person that makes them will need some skills. Chaos voices are different from Dwarfs and Greenskin ones. Voice distortions(???) can be used though.
