    Default still need 1.3 for hotseats

    Hey,
    im participating in some hotseats, which still play 1.3 but i want to play 1.4 in singleplayer.
    is it somehow possible to have two files, one for 1.3 and one for 1.4?

    i copied the complete third age file with patch 1.3 somewhere else, patched to 1.4 and copied the 1.3 file back so i had two files. but it appears that both files have been patched.
    it seems like the changes are made somewhere else..

    does someone know a solution for this?

    Check which batch files your shortcuts call.

    The default batch file contains,

    cd ..\..
    start kingdoms.exe @mods\Third_Age\TATW.cfg

    As you can see, the batch file refers to the default directory install location. So if you don't change these, they will start whatever you have in the mods/Third_Age folder. You will need to change the contents of this batch file in the appropriate folder to reflect the correct folder, ie something like

    cd ..\..
    start kingdoms.exe @mods\MODIFIED_FOLDER_HERE\TATW.cfg

    Oh yeah, the .cfg file also starts with,

    [features]
    editor = true
    mod = mods/Third_Age

    So you will likely want to change that in TATW.cfg as well to reflect the correct folder.

    yay i made it!!

    at first it didnt work but i found out that you have to edit the tatw.cfg file, too.
    there it says " mod = mods/Third_Age "

    but it has to be " mod = mods/Third Age 1.3 "

    edit: lol you were faster, but i really found this out by myself.. and im proud of it
