A thread dedicated to my musical tastes? I'm flattered!
I am listening to the National Anthem right now. One of my favorites pieces.

Red Army choir song : The Army
(with a funny vid)
shoulda just called this thread the Russian Red Army Choir thread
While it's not specifically a piece of Soviet Music (it deals with men pulling boats along the Volga), the song 'Volga Boatmen' definitely is one of my personal favorite pieces of Russian music.. One of the main reasons I like it is because I happened to come across this performance by the Red Army Choir:
Although Paul Robeson's translation of the piece into English is also very impressive:
Robeson's performance of the USSR anthem is another very, very impressive work. Too bad he sings in praise of Stalin, but this was written and sung before all of the man's horrible crimes were brought to light:
Oh, and HOW could I leave out Team Fortress 2's Heavy Weapons Guy!?

Russian Classical and Opera is just simply the best sounding...And soviet music?
Well, I might not agree with their politics, but god damn they know music.
Russia is definately a master of the Arts.
