Cannot locate the CD-ROM

Im having a problem with m2tw atm, it was working a while ago but not anymore. Every time i try to start the game I get an error that says "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application".

Ive tried everything and reinstalled and it still wont work, the disk is in good condition still and was working yesterday. Is their anyway to fix this or no?

If their is no fix for this, I was wondering if i could get compensated with a steam version. I have recently bought the steam version for one of my friends and seems easier. I have proof of purchase for my original hard copy and of the one i gifted to my friend on steam if that matters.

Anyways any fix would help.

Ok, I don't know what i did but its fixed now. So don't worry about this post.
