    Ok

first step check the add and remove programs tool to see if there is still an entry there.

Secondly (health warning: do not fiddle with your registry unless you accept that you may knacker your PC) open the command line, type Regedit and hit return. Select find from the alt menu and type in Activison in the box. press find next. this should turn up the first Activision key, Beneath it will be the RTW key. Copy the exact spelling of RTW to the find Box, Find next.

Right click on the opened folder in the explorer portion and deleted key.

Continue until no entries for RTW remain (this may take some time)

You may find it easier to use another regcleaning prroduct before attempting this.

    regcleaner

You're a poor searcher, Meqon-Nerd, you're hereby stripped of your nerd title (if you held any)

So Google is your friend and gives you:
    http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-dow...cleaner4.3.htm

If the program doesn't load completely, start it up again, bring up the task manager, close it, and start it up again, until it shows you your registry. You can sort by company, or by software, i usually sort by company and remove everything with Activision, unless you have multiple products from them.
"in montem soli non loquitur" basically means that you should not argue against what is obvious.

No problem, patch 1.2 has a separate set of keys. Look again under the root Activision folder to find it, copy the product name (somthing like RTW 1.2 patch) and repeat the process.

    That should kill off 1.2

well abviously youd already fixed it when you posted, because you couldnt have posted without being connected :s i hate using regedit, im very nervous of removing large things as it sometimes has unforseen consequences, as nerd found out i only use it to delete trojans, but i get them like once a year...
