how can romans use egyptian walls in BI
Hi
I know how to change walls in general and I also also know the faction_creator -attribute from descr_strat (but all those things are no solution for my problem)
Just image the Romans in BI owe some cities in egypt. I thought it would be a nice feature if those cities have typically ancient egyptian walls at the beginning of the campaign.
Note: there is no other faction with egyptian culture in my campaign!
It is possible to make that with a coding trick?

Have you tried specifying 'custom' settlement plans for those settlements in descr_strat?

I think you want modify the walls' culture via settlement plans located in data/settlement_plans - and then link this settlement to the descr_strat.
I know this procedure, because I made dozens of new customized settlement plans for AoD2-cities.
The poblem is you can't change the wall-type in this text-files. In the first moment I also thought it is quite easy to code that with customized settlement plans.
But: Basically you can only add the position of your wall-parts there.
Which wall-design will finally be taken by the engine is dependand on your own culture.
At least this is how I understood that file. You can only change the city layout and the ground-plan in those files (beside the location of houses, trees and slots and all the visual stuff).
sure, but the settlement plans (the text files) are not responsible for the walls' culture. You can tell the engine the underlay-plan
