BEACON OF AMODEAN

If you've seen the movies then you would the Beacon of Amodean. This was 1st created when gondor was attacked by Mordor(not the one in the movie). They had no help, the only nearest ally was Rohan, Gondor suffered so many casulties, Mordor troops almost made it to the Fountian of Gondor! Rohan knew of this attack, but did not do anything until the last minute, they did save Gondor at the time, so the Beacon of Amodean was made to insure that if Gondor, or Rohan was ever attacked. They knew one of them would help each other.



THE WAR OF MOUNT DOOM


If you've seen the 1st Lord of the rings then you would know when Gondor, and the High Elves attacked Mordor. If you wonder how did they get in, well here it goes. Gondor and the High elves attacked the black gate, but both sent a secret force threw a secret tunnel threw the mountians 1 day before. When half of Mordors army was focusing on the Black gate, the rest were on the hills of mount doom waitng. The secret force ambushed the Black gate Legion and en slaughtered them. Then the Black gate was destroyed. And if you know when Itildor and his men were riding home when they got attacked, those were actully Orcs of the Misty mountians.

Yes they don't follow the lore at some points, and are short in terms of whole story, but are ones of best movies of this and last century!

At first I thought so too, but after looking at it more thorougly it appears to me that most of these "facts" are Fan fiction, some even contradicting the lore...

And the Black Gate was not COMPLETELTY destroyed... Its foundations were made using the Ring, as was Barad-Dur, thus both; like Sauron himself, survived.

Legolas' grandfather Oropher did not.I believe he was slain at the battle of the Morannon before they reached the Black Tower...
