I am SOOOOOOOOO sick of haveing to fight 10 stacks
I want my each battle to be very very very very decisive!

Play 1-turn recruitment. That will lessen the amount of stacks a lot.

Oh shoot. I was hoping this was a discussion about how to stop blob-like empires from emerging near the end of the game. Civil war / erosion types of events are obviously the answer, but the RTW engine isn't set up for it like EU is, for instance.
You -could- always enable 1-turn and then manually edit export_descr_unit.txt to make it 0 turn. It is only an idea of mine as I THINK - but am not sure - that 1-turn adjusts the buildtimes + incomes to such. The only problem is you would have to cheat to add money, as your armies would not be supported by the 1-turn incomes.
Of course, if I'm wrong about the income being adjusted, then this would not be valid at all. I'm quite curious about this matter, actually.

It's a strange balance. I like 1-turn recruitment to avoid the massive stacks, but when I want a legion/invading force, I want it now!
I agree, however, for me the huge numbers of stacks that 0-turn can generate means that I am quite happy to use 1-turn recruitment.
Depending upon the state of your empire it's fairly easy to build up a 'hub' of settlements that can generate an army in a short time period. It does take planning which is another reason why I don't like 0-turn.

You can take a look at the EDU sub-mod by TheSavage. It significantly lessens the amount of stacks in 0-turn

Failing that, just go with 1-turn.

I just manualy changed everything to 1 turn recrutment and 3x the cost
With stats like that and depending on income, there may only be 4-5 stacks per faction.
The way I see it, factions that used to have 10 stacks will now have 3.5.
Whats a script and how do I limit the massive economies?
