Investment of 10.000 Fl. is only working with save+reload
I built a temple and got a pop up asking if I want to invest 10.000 fl. So I decided to save 10k, but nothing happened. At the next turn I still had no depot of 10.000. I discovered that I have to quick save and quick load after I made the investment, to get the script working. Same goes for withdrawing the savings.
Is this the only way to make this script work, or did I something wrong?
(After the temple was built, the pop up informing me of the economic status was gone too)

Hmmm for me too sometimes the loan / invest thing is borken. It seems that it cease to work then the next time it work again (BTW when it work i can invest / get my money back as frequently as i want i a game; until i go off).
There must be something wrong in the campaign script i guess... but i rarely invest anything as the chances of total loss is so high

I have only had flawless experiences with the invest/loan system. Never got into what the OP says, not the frequent loss of depot. I think it's a brilliant income system for an unstable continent. The only thing I miss, is when the pop-up which talks about wether Im in good or bad times [+3] disappears around 1210 :/. Any one seen that?

If any popup stops working I reinstall (for luck) and restart my campaign.
The reason is that though the malfunctioning thing might not have much affect, it is broken and I don't know what else is.
It's happened to me twice now, so it's quite rare.

If you mean the events in descr_events then I doubt it, they always seem to work for me. I guess not a lot can go wrong when it's just checking the turn number.
