What will be a better engine for Roma Surrectum 2?

Will it be Barbarian Invasion on the standard 1.5 engine? Im considering downloading Barbarian Invasion of Steam as its going cheap at the moment.

Will installing in Steam based folders and running through Steam create any problems?

BI improves the battle AI as well as increases the chances of naval invasions. As far as I know there's no problem running the game through steam.

Well, basically -not- for RS since it is not modfoldered. It is the same process for RS 1 and RS 2 AFAIK.

Isnt Alexander considered slightly better than BI, and BI considered slightly better than the original RTW. I dont know how much these things cost on steam, but you could probably buy both BI and alexander together for less than £10 these days.

The problem with ALX.exe is that it is located in a different folder, and the .exe's are run through Steam. I have no clue how to run ALX with Steam, honestly.

TBH I think it a lot more straightforward to get the disc from one of the online outlets.

If you can find it, it should be cheap enough.
I got it in the Eras bundle at a sale price.

I just got hold of Vanilla and Alex for £8 for when RS2 comes out (been on Mtw2 before hand) there was the era's for £15 but i didnt want BI.
