    Default Having trouble deciding?

I'm mostly looking for a mod in the post-Marian reforms with actual legionaries not just hastati or pricipes. I like the idea of AOR and 4 turns per year. Something that is also really hard, because vanilla was just too easy. Please and Thank you

Uhm.... I would have to advise Extended Realism . Its an extension off of RTRE, so it has everything RTRE has and more ! I don't know too much about Imperator though honestly... But Extended Realism impressed me more than most mods did...

In my own opinion, you should also give Europa Barbarum a try, that is also a VERY COOL mod !!!

If it's difficulty you want, Fate of Empires is much, much harder than any other RTR I've played - but it doesn't have the imperial legions.

Well if you wan't imperial legions I would either suggest EB: a really great mod, BUT the imperial units (just early imperials - for more info check there website: the faction part gives aglipmse at all of them) appear only after sevevral reforms for which you need to get speccial circumstances... the imperial reform may not happen at all. AOR and difficulty make EB the ideal Grand camaping mod for R:TW.

RTR:FOE is harder in many regards then EB - it has given me the most challenging battles I've seen on the Rome engine... (not even MEDII:TW or any of its mods have been able to do that so far - haven't played many however)

I think Roma Surrectum has some of the things youre looking for but I ain't sure since I haven't played that mod.

Roma Surrectum is good for imperial legions. It has 35 (I think) legions, each with different skins, which can be recruited in different regions. It isn't particularly difficult, though.

I'm actually looking for a mod within RTR thats why I posted it here. I'm leaning towards RTRE, ExRM, or Imperator. I'm sorry to say that I just don't like FOE cause of all the little towns and stuff. That was a feature I hated in ETW. So help me decide between those three based on my criteria. Please and Thank you.

I havent played Imperator, but I can certainly vouch for EXRM, it's a great mod, but it doesn't have legionary's iirc because they were taken out so the unit slots could be used elsewhere.

If you really want legions, your better off trying RS or EB.
