New Age: Total War
Hiya guys,
After i didnt want to make the mod France total war ( cause i think it isnt good enough to make) i have come with a new idea. New Age: total war.
It will be a mod that will start in the year 1700 and end in 2010.
There will be added a new gameplay, new map and new factions like, The Austrian Empire, The Empire of Russia, the kingdom of Prussia and even The United States.
The only thing i need, is a team, and then we can create this mod.
If you are interested into joining the team and helping to make the mod, then please send a Private message to me, so i can add you to our group.

Re: New Age: Total War
not on the medieval two platform, may be you should look into etw or try another idea that works with mtw2

Re: New Age: Total War
From 1700 to 2010? Surely you can't make it work, unless you're the most amazing genius modder ever to be born on Earth. Or unless you find him and somehow convince him to make the mod for you.
Now, if it was from 1700 till, say, 1900 (i.e. before the drastic technological changes of the 20th century) and you somehow find a very large, greatly organized and very experienced team of modders, you might have some theoretical chance of doing it. Of course, you'd still have to learn to think out your ideas much more thoroughly if you'd want to ever possibly succeed...
And, yes, ETW would definitely be the platform for that kind of mod (considering the naval battles, already existing fitting animations etc. etc.).

Re: New Age: Total War
I've done some fiddleing around with the idea of modern warfare a year or so ago and do think its possible. It would require good modding skills, a large team of talented modders, and a few years of spare time to ever make it a reality though... I doubt it would ever happen.
You should try something smaller for yourself. Perhaps a mod to improve one of the kingdoms campaigns? Most importantly, you need to learn and attempt to create it yourself. No one else will help you until you find a serious project and start making progress first.

Re: New Age: Total War
m2tw gunpowder units are made to depict musketeers, fireing by rank and not taking cover. this does not go well with fairly modern warfare.
just forgett it!
Hr.

Re: New Age: Total War
sorry dude but the game limits ( units, factions ect. ect.) would make this very much impossible.

Re: New Age: Total War
Robert, please, do you have programs for modding? you need those for making new models etc. I would chose rtw, and make something in the time after Charlemange or something like that. I have a littlebit experience as you know but no programs like that, so I doubt I would be able to help you.
