    Default Auto losing a siege

Hi everyone I have a problem

I was playing campaign as Gondor at East Osgiliath. I was sieged by Mordor. Thinking that I could wait a few turns for my General to arrive I waited. The next turn I automatically lost. There was no screen that said "Your enemy besieges you" or something like that only a message in the next turn saying "Occupied" saying that East Osgiliath was occupied. Is it a bug or is it supposed to happen? If this doesnt belong here then please move it to the correct forum/section.

There is a time limit. When you move your mouse over the besieged city it says how long the city can resist the enemy. After a certain amount of turns which depend on the size of the city the city automatically falls to your enemy.

Well if that was the case I must have missed six turns. Last time I checked before the turn ended I had six turns left. I dont have a screenshot but maybe when another settlement is besieged I will be able to have proof.

Are you playing a Hot-seat-game? In a Hot-seat-Game you can't play defensive battles (actually you can but you have to change the cfg.txt) and you won't even get a notice about the outcome.

Nope not a hotseat. Hotseat works fine for me (I play with my brother so I know )

Hmm, then I don't know, though I remember that someone in the forum had the same problem some time ago, but I don't remember if there was an explanation or solution...

I believe if the settlement rebelled there is another message? Perhaps it ws bribed?

Yes, it was bribed. That's the solution!

To posts 6 and 7: No you cant bribe a settlement once it is besieged, only the attacking army can be talked to by a diplomat. So that is out of the question.

I was talking to boring german.
And Diplomats can talk to besieged settlements if you tell them to go there they were besieged.

Also there was no diplomat near the area. It was occupied by the same army.

Um if my forces were stronger and if it said that I was attacked by my enemy? My forces were stronger and no it didnt say that I was attacked by my enemy.
