Help me out with this, please :(
Hi,
I'm pretty frustrated about this. I got Medieval 2 Total War , I installed it and when I'm trying to run it it says "Medieval II suffered a fatal error and will now exit." with the headline "CA_LIBS"!. I tried to rename-trick, I reinstalled it twice, i tried the NoCD Crack but nothing works for me.
Hope anybody has a solution.
Thank you very much
-Phil
EDIT: I know there are lots of threads about this here already but nothing worked for me. I tried almost everything.

Did you make sure your comp meets the minimum specs?
Heres a link to them if you don't know what they are

Yeah, my PC should run medieval 2 easily. I have 2.3GHz x 2, Nvidia Gefore 8800GTS @640 VRAM and 2GB RAM. But i have Windows 7, maybe thats a problem?

So, what could be the reason for this message? I just did a clean uninstall and then installed it a third time. Still the same error.

Start a campaign with England, play a turn, exit and that should give you a full one. Delete that one first. Then post the new one.

Re: Help me out with this, please :(
The problem is, I can't even start the game, 'cause of the CA_LIBS error.

Re: Help me out with this, please :(
CA_LIBS means corrupted files. The only way is to reinstall the game.

I see, so no solution here. I reinstalled it again and again, maybe steam just gives me the wrong files or something. Well thanks anyway.

This fight is between you and Steam. Closed.

Re: Help me out with this, please :(
Try it with the UAC bar slid all the way to the bottom or disable it in msconfig.
This is really an install problem between you and Steam.
