help me to remove this form my computer

i installed RS and then played it. But I decided to stop playing RS and just switch back to vanilla. I uninstall it in control panel and deleted all files that has connection with RS. But after doing so this is whats left. I tried to remove, modify and repair it but it still wont go away. It just wont remove. All files have been deleted that has a connection to RS except for the installer. When i install it again it says "MSS DLL file is installed in application" and because of that i cannot play Vanilla. Any suggestions

First of all I have no idea why would you want to go back to vanila but thats really none of my business. Here go to this link http://download.cnet.com/3001-2086_4...c5c3176b1a6998 give it a second and it will automaticly start a download. This program is called CCleaner. Its a very good program for cleaning your PC from unwanted and old files. Download and install its very self explanitory. If you need help just PM me and I ll go over it step by step, its not a problem.

Sh@t nevermind I see you already have it. Use the CCleaner to remove the files. Go into tools and then uninstall all thats left from RTW. Then go to cleaner and tick all the boxes to clean all the files, do the same with regestry. Also you can manualy go into C/Windows/Prefetch and delete RTW prints.

I thought if you deleted all the finals coonected to RS, vanilla wouldnt work unless you reinstall it.

That is correct. The suggested method of installing mods is to take a copy of your RTW / RTW BI / RTW Alex folder and apply a mod to the copy of the folder.

If this approach is taken the process of removing and adding mods is very easy.

.....if not, then it is very tedious, and you have to reinstall RTW. I don't think I could count the number of time I've read this posted in our forums, but it is so much easier to just copy the whole RTW folder somewhere else, install a mod into it, and then play it. If you don't like it, delete it......it's only a COPY of RTW. Saves you a lot of hassle reinstalling RTW from CD's.

Some people, I know, have Hard drive space issues, BUT, external drives are cheap....$100 American for a TERABYTE drive. And if that's too much, you can get an 8GB USB drive for $10-15, and copy RTW to that just to save it.....then if your RTW install gets messed up, delete the whole folder and copy the nice clean copy from the USB drive back onto your PC. Or, you can even PLAY the game off the USB drive (or and external drive), I have done both.
