Change General's position

Is there a way to change the general's position to the middle center of its bodyguard unit?. Every time I send my infantry generals to attack, the first one to charge is the general and therefore it dies very quickly.

Protip: Never charge with a generals unit front on. Always flanks or rear charge.

Well as far as i know you cant but i have little to no experince in modding so maybe one of the smarter people can answer

When playing as Gondor i always charge first with general if he has infantry bodyguards..

In to the breech then!!!!! send a solid unit in ahead of your general, as cushion. And as stated, try for the flank or a rear charge.
Dread General + surrounded enemy = win...btw... Ya buddy...

Well there sure that seems to be a hardcoded negative on this one...
