    I've just reinstalled RTW along with 1.3 and 1.5 patches. The vanilla is playable but when I add RTR 6.0 Gold and start up i only get as far as the RTR splash screen (The sepia coloured map) for a couple of seconds before it closes and returns to desk top. any ideas? Anyone? I'm using the older 3 disc Activision edition because the Sega single disc Gold edition won't load. Tells me I have to uninstall an older version first - but I did unistall the Activision version. Maybe these problems are related? Thanks

    RTR 6 Gold only works with RTW v1.2. If you`ve patched it to v1.5 you should have installed RTRPE.

    The samo samo machine I've had for yonks and had no trouble playing RTR, MTW, MTWII (with CAE 1.4 mod), previously. Also was able to play EB I. But I uninstalled everything and reinstalled because it was so cluttered. Shogun is still playable, as is MTW II, but not MTW and RTR. Did uninstall through control panel as well as 'crap cleaner'. Just can't work it out. Just remembered! When I reinstalled Shogun it was ctd after about ten turns with "debugger detected ...." I fixed that problem by uninstalling Nero.
