Need help!

hey everybody.....i'm new to the forum,

well...... my problem is my money is just going down the drain. My people are becoming disalusioned and my population in half my cities are either decreasing or not even moving. An example is one of my cities was producing like 1800 denarii per turn and the next turn it goes down to 800 denarii!!!!! WHAT'S WITH THIS!!!!!
So....i kinda dont know why this is happening. someone please help..........

ps. 3 of my cities have devastation even though there are no enemy armies in my territory.

There can´t be so many peoples only in one city if I know. My populations are cca somewhere between 20 000 - 30 000.?

First of all - welcome to the forum.

Devastation can last a number of years until the black marks (which indicate where the devastation happened) on your territory clear up. If there is another factions army in your territory it could be hiding from you. Either make sure that you have watch towers to reveal all areas of your territory or send a spy around - if the spy moves next to an army that is in hiding then it will be revealed.

The other advantage of watch towers is that they attract rebel armies in the area to the watch tower. When a rebel army moved next to a watch tower it no longer works. So, if you play with FOW on then part of your territory (that was revealed by the watch tower) darken.

With a sudden loss of income you need to look at the income for each settlement and try to work out where the money is reduced. It could well be trade - if you've been trading via ports the other port could be blockaded which will stop all trade.

well.....Athens, my biggest city has over 31,000 and my other cities have a range from 31,000-10,000.

Anyways now i'm really pissed cause one of my cities rebelled and it's now back in Macedonian hands.........all my cities are still loosing people and there in debt. I kinda want to just quit and restart....except i got so far and.......i'm very undecided. Anyways i apprecaite all the help...and i still need more. OH, what does "blitzed" mean?

Blitzed means that you expanded very quickly probably sacking each settlement as you went to fund your expansion.

This method can work quite well until you don't keep expanding - then you have an empire that is very shaky. The end result is usually settlements rebelling.

Attached a compressed save to a post (go into advanced mode) and someone may be able to offer some advice. At the moment we don't know that much about the state of your empire.

Also tell us which exe (RTW, RTW BI or RTW Alex) you are using - as well as the version of RS.

Well,if you have big armies both in and outside you probably loose money because your towns pay the armies.Try reducing your armies sizes or you will sonn find yourself facing a serious rebellion or an economical crysis.

Go to your Rome Total War install folder. Then visit your saves folder. Go to your most recent save on said campaign. Copy and compress using winrar or winzip. Then go back to the forums, hit advanced reply, scroll down to Manage Attachments. Browse for the rar file you created, and then upload it to the forums by submitting the file.

i think I might be on 1 turn because when eg. I recruit say 5 athenian hoplites the next turn i have five athenian hoplites/phalanxes not 1...if that makes sense.....lol

No, that's zero turn recruitment. 1-turn recruitment only allows a singe unit to be recruited per turn (unless that unit takes longer to be recruited).

I can't see which version of RS you are using, I did ask which one (see post #8) - it can have an effect. If you can't be bothered answering our relevant questions why do you think we will go out of our way to load up your save game?
