    Default 6.2 Hotseat issues

    Hello,

Installed 6.2 and have (tried) to use the swapper to play Late Era in hotseat Campaign. No go. I would loove to be able to use the Teutonic Order in hotseat!

I'm running under Vista.. this is what is displayed when I attempt to use the swapper:

    Any thoughts, fixes, work-arounds anyone?

P.S. One more (issue?). Was it intentional for Human players, in campaign hotseat, not to be able to manually defend their armies in a hotseat game, during the turn transition? This can be a big issue for my buddy and I when playing the campaign..

    Thanks in advance!

You can manualy swap the files, but better make a back-up before you do so as many things can go wrong.
First of all, the Late Campaign files can be found in Medieval II\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data\world\maps\campaign\custom\(don't remember this one, but there's only one folder)
Early campaign is in \data\world\maps\base and \data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign
You'll have to switch the campaigns, make sure you put everything in the right folder.

But if you want to play the TO, you can also play them in hotseat Early Campaign. Just start a (hotseat) campaign, open the console and type: control yourfaction If you're playing venice, type: control venice The game will run itself, when the TO emerge type control teutonic_order.

    Vista. Read his post.
I forgot to mention in my last post that there are two files in \data\text that need to be switched of name. One of the is called imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt (or something like that). The other one has the same end (from regions).

Thank you very much for the helpful response, JorisofHolland! I'll try that right now.

But I'm also wondering whether everyone is experiencing the same thing with regards to the turn transition, and not being able to manually (i.e. not auto-resolve) defend your own armies or settlements when the AI attacks you.

Real shame when I lose a good army that should have prevailed, were I to command it.

There was a post, long ago. Search for "defend hotseat" and I'm sure you'll find it. There is only one file you'll have to download.
