Irish and Welsh acsents

I was under the belief that ca had not made acsents for the irish and the welsh

This is only partly true they did not make seperate acsents (the welsh still sound english and the irish scotish)

BUT they did give them slightly different wording to some phrases such as the occasional a great day for scotland and england welcomes you have been changed to a great day for ireland and wales welcomes you etc. this is a small very small improvement that after hearing chris7ian say he had an irish accent i investigated further and i have modified my files to include this small change that may please some players

i will release it with my submod or if people want it sooner than a week or 2 (it is a very small change more work than it was worth LOL) i can upload the files here

cool, because the way i found has totally messed up everyone elses accents and i dont wanna go back and change them. The way i did it was to unpack the british_isles campaign mod. Then i went through several files and copy pasted the irish and welsh files from them to my KGCM files. But I first had a problem with loosing effects sounds on the main menus and end turn sounds as well as building sounds in city scrolls and a whole lot more. So i figure out when i deleted my events.dat and events.idx files they werent being rebuilt right. So i tried using the same files from the british_isles folder. Well that gave me the generic voices for irish and welsh. However, i noticed through diplomacy it messed up everyone elses. This work is by no means of my own. Edit: that give me an idea about a custom irish unit. Instead of peasants have drunken brawlers, and have then recruited through traverns. lmao that would be sweet.

We did remove the references to England and Scotland in an older patch. But I was having problems with some of the other accents after this so I removed the fix and left it alone. I hope this works.

i will as always continue to play test to make sure but at this point all other accsents are as they should be

but i have given myself atleast another week or so before release so i will continue to make sure that no files have been ill affected ( i always fear of ruining peoples games rather than my intent of enriching them with what small abilities i have

he said a week or two after christmas i believe. I think its basically done, he just needs to test, but i could be wrong. Im holding my breath in great anticipation.

Yeah its done i have been testing for a while i am now just looking at some of daves changes adding them in also (he gave permission in his OP)

When i get back from new years i guess ill join mega upload as well its quite a large upload(download for you lol) so expect it not to far after new years depending on effects of daves changes ( i always like to run a good campaign and a few auto ones to test everything out)
