Cannot find kingdoms.exe.
I am trying to get Stainless Steel 6.1 to play on my computer(vista). When I try to launch I get a error message "cannot find kingdoms.exe" Does anyone have any suggestions. I am not a knowledgeable computer dude.
I was able to play vanilla fine and I have been using darthmod without any trouble if it means anything. I patched and installed the files in correct order. I even tried a few of he suggestions for making hidden file visible,....but I really do not know anything about this. Kind of walking with my eyes closed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is only my second post because I totally had a account here back in the earlier days, but have forgotten the password and email. Oh, well cooler user name now
Do they just delete forum accounts that are inactive after a certain time?

Re: Total war and Vista
What version of Kingdoms do you have as seperate dvd, Gold, or dowload or Steam?
Your old account is buried someplace if you come up with the correct username and password.

Re: Total war and Vista
I believe this belongs in the Stainless Steel forum.
If we play ping-pong, here we go, again.

Re: Cannot find kingdoms.exe.
Seeing as you are running Vista, turn UAC off.
