Could an admin help me please?

Dear all,

I am sorry for posting this here, but I do not know to whom should I speak. Instead of annoying random people with PMs, I think its wiser to post here.

It was brought to my attention Cedric37 has been banned from these forums. I know Cedric37, and he is a very polite person, who does not offend people.

Cedric37 failed to read a notice, which is indeed a mistake. It was though, a very human one, as he missed this notice in the general chaos of post after posts... To be fairly honest, I seldom read every post in a thread, so I can understand where he was coming from.

From my point of view he was the wrong person to get penalised. A scapegoat if you wish. I do understand that indeed it is very hard to maintain public order, if things get out of control. I also understand things got nasty and someone had to act. At the same time it is unfair for people who haven't done anything serious to pay the bill.

Since, nobody ever sent him any warning, nor he ever got involved in a flame war before in this forum, I consider this rather extreme. Hence, I would earnestly like to ask whoever is responsible to lift his ban. I do take personal responsibility for what I say and I will accept a personal ban as a penalty, if anything wrong happens with Cedric37 ever again.

In the meanwhile, I will retreat from this forum and remain silent till the whole issue with Cedric37 gets resolved.

Im not sure what to make of this huge farse. Just to confirm, has Cedric been permabanned.

I posted some regretable things striaght after GED warning, i was permabaned from TATW. However, me and GED have discussd this and my ban has been lifted on account of recogniction of my mistake, taking prearranged action to stop any interactation with the causer of all this, and i have a forum wide ban if any other flaming arises on my part. I also had a six point warning(althought in light of my modeling, that has been lowered to four to allow me to access my developers forums). The state of the thread in question was actually terrible. I think it should have been closed earlier than it was, and maybe the moderators could have recognised the thread disending into the state it arrived in BUT it doesnt not excuse people like me or anyone else who posted regretable things from any punishment. I believe Cedric should have equal punishment or less due to the fact his post was not as aggresive as mine and that should be the end of this topic/argument.

Geez, calm down. I am not trying to steal you ego, or put myself above you in terms of authority. Just making my opinion heard. Besides it will help bring the message home to Myshkin.

Your post did not add anything to the discussion at all and was completely useless. Plus you act like you posess some kind of authority at all, which you do not.

Just so you know the proper place for administrative questions is in the Q & S. Or you can always PM a Senior Moderator or Administrator. I dont find it annoying when people ask procedural questions, so dont worry about that.

I was the one that issued all the bans in this forum, and I stand by my reasoning. You can view that here, and you can comment on it here.

I am closing this thread, anyone that wants can comment in the proper place.
