Default A bug - broken animation of unit generals and standard bearers!

Hi all! First of all thanks to developers of a mod - it is great!
But i'd like to inform you that some unit animation is broken. These are foot generals and standard bearers (may be mounted ones too). The problem is that when squad begins to fight with enemy squad, the general of your army, squad general and squad standard bearer loose their weapons (swords) and fight so to say with their "fists". After winning the battle they may remain without their swords too. Before engaging into battle, by the way, all generals and standard bearers are all right - all have their swords in their hands, but when fighting and after battle they have only their fists .
Such bug was true for original RTW and is true for RTR platinum 1.9 and even for RTR VII: Fate of Empires v1.2
Thats why i'd like to question is this bug known to developers of a mod, and if no - is it real to fix it for a mod and also for original RTW. It would be really great to see it fixed.

Thanx for patience and wait for reply.

    Best regards,

    Afijaka

That happens to any officer(general, captain, standard bearer) that is attached to a missile throwing unit. The sword disappears from the hand of the officer the moment the missiles are exhausted by the unit. There is a "solution" to this and that means giving the officer model two identical swords, but the only thing that changes is the moment when the sword disappears, not the actual result. In this case the sword will disappear after the unit has exhausted the missiles and gets into melee fighting or charges the enemy. In other words, it`s a hardcoded thing and it can`t be truly fixed.

It can be solved by renaming the officers weapon to a "dummy"-name(in 3dsMax). I renamed mine "fakeweapon".
It will have no effect on officers battleperformance.

And the sword will load fine with a wrong weapon name? I`m interested in this for my mod. We did the two swords trick and that`s not truly effective. Which is a pity because we have a new series of unit officers coming and most are attached to missile throwing units.

So, Florin, could you make it fixed taking into consideration the previous guy's proposition?
