Is there a way to have DaC and RC+RR?
Or do I have to play only one, and if so which one?
I think I defiantly want RC+RR, because I like how it includes tons of other submods and lots of good improvements.

DaC is a drastically different mod, you should be asking "TATW or DaC?". It has tons more factions, more units and more events etc. RCRR is a submod for TATW that rebalances the unit stats, adds some more units and other smaller submods.
Personally, I use RCRR and am waiting for DaC 4.0 to come out before I try it.
That would be a most delightful ideaSince playing TATW I have wondered over and over could it be possible to combine RR&RC and DaC 4.0
ackrite26 having you mention that has made for the bestess Xmas ever
that said ...HAIL KONG and all those modders who have been inspired by his Mod him![]()
If you have long free time... use DAC but you if you want a kick and finish the campain least in 2 days.. take RC+RR with the orignal....
Also you can do ring of power mod with RC+RR later on so just wait and you'l see
But to be honest DAC needs abit more work.. but if you like very deep game where there is always something to o I suggest DAC ( I remember I Got new mission each time I did one which is not the same in RC+RR and Third age).
Original TATW for me thanks.
DaC is good but seeing as the turns take so much longer to load because of the amount on factions and then they slowed down the building I just cant take the boredom of the begining. I'm not saying that it's bad I mean I liked it I just couldn't wait any more and I'm quite patient.
But I think that KK shouldn't bring out a V1.5 and should bring all the extra units from various submods depending on quality and then balance it as necessary and then maybe add some small but cool features from them aswell like the extra AOR and so forth and make TATW 2.0 super even more awesome than 1.3 has managed already.
Just do both. Dac is a seperate install, so you can have both next to each other.
-We won't include rr/rc into dac. BUT, we are using some parts of the recruitement system rr/rc in dac. With permission of course.
-If you try dac and you don't like it, try it again when version 4 comes out. Totally different.
So it's pretty much a mod unto itself and you wouldn't even need TATW to play it?
I bet you still need TATW but it just uses it´s own data folder + that of TATW.
Did you realize that you were betting against the people that make the mod??
As Vaz has already explained it doesn't use your TATW data folder, DaC has so modified the original data files that it long ago became easier to include what we needed from the original mod in our mod folder, which is why our download is so huge, it's a complete mod that is based off of TATW, with permission of course. We think that it's a great solution, as the choice to play our mod or KK's wonderful mod is only a mouse click different, and people can freely make that choice on a daily basis without the usual hassles of mod switching.
We refer to ourselves as a submod as we are based off of the hard work that KK and his team have done, without which DaC could not exist, and we don't want to detract from that work by competing with it. We are happy to be able to share a small piece of the world created by the original mod.
Divide and Conquer Developer
Nope.
And even if "you only had to play one", you could just copy paste the TATW Folder in the directory, and then change the .bat and .cfg to point at the correct target.
Like I posted in the 1.4 Preview, DaC has evolved into some different beast that owes its existance to KK and his team. We don't strive to be better, or even different. We merely want to make the Third Age into our version of it. We don't want to compete, or whatever. Instead, we would like to work alongside, and do on a few things.
In all respects, other than being modfoldered, TA is a parent mod.
As to the RR/RC, we're more than happy for an RR/RC version to be released for it, and will help RR/RC as much as we can. However, certain elements, such as recruitment (for example, a lot of sitational requirements for unit recruitment). My WIP EDU has stats based on those found in Stainless Steel, which will still need to be slightly modified eventually during prerelease internal beta.
