Default Novelizations on the Trojan War?

Well theres an interesting semi-historical novel out noe called Talisman of Troy, about sort of making a historically possible version like the movie Troy, about what happened to Agamemnon, Aenaes taking the people of Troy to Italy and founding Rome etc. Sounds good, but they says you need to have some background in the Illiad.

So umm.. are there any good realistic (no gods and stuff involved) novelizations on the Trojan War?

    No I haven't heard of any I don't think.

I vaguely remember reading a book called "Troy: A complete history" or something similar which was mainly concentrated around the Trojan war, can't recall whether it involved gods.

Well I don't know of any historical ones.

But, I saw a sci-fi version in the book store called "Illium"

I thought it looked interesting, might of picked it up too if I didn't forget my wallet that day.

check out that one, go to the bottom of the page ("Look for similar items by subject", check the topics "Troy (extinct city)" and "fiction" and press the <search> button.
Gives you about 20-30 hits. Now you have to sort out those including gods,... (e.g. Ilias )

Age of Bronze is my complete retelling of the Trojan War as a graphic novel (comic book). I'm attempting to incorporate every known version of the story, from Homer's Iliad on down, into one coherent storyline. I'm also setting it in the correct period of the Aegean Late Bronze Age, the 13th century BCE, so all the costumes, settings, and props are as historically accurate I can make them.

It's going to be a seven volume series when finished. The first two volumes have been published, A Thousand Ships (Image, 2001) and Sacrifice (Image 2004). I'm serializing the third volume, Betrayal, currently. If you want to see samples, there are some here on the Age of Bronze website:
