How to Change Names

Hi all

I Play Roma Surrectum with BI
I tried to change some Names of the Roman family members in the scripts
so i chanched "Titus" into "Probus" in the following files:

data/Descr_names.txt
data/Descr_names_lookup.txt
data/text/names.txt

But now every time the Game crashes when a commander becomes this name when leaving a town.
What ist wrong?

Have i to edit some other Files?

Hope for some explain.

Could you post the changes you made to the files 'descr_names.txt' and 'names.txt' here in [code] tags please ?

I exchanged the listed Names "Titus" in all the upon named Files into "Probus"
With Shift "H" (Search/Exchange)

As Sample a part of the: data/text/names.txt

{Tertius}   Tertius
{Tiberius}   Tiberius

{Valerius}   Valerius
{Vibius}   Vibius

Did you also change it in descr_names?

And you should only change stuff in the right column (the one that's not in brackets), because that's what shown in-game

Change the bit in red back to Titus. When changing the contents of the files in the text folder do not change the stuff between {} it will cause a CTD most of the time. In other words Ctrl+H -> Replace All is a very, very, very bad idea.

I will Try it. I made a secure copy before editing so its not a problem.

Should i just change the name you told me without brackets,
or must i change it otherwehre?
