Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers
Is there a reason why the Constitution is still forum based, rather than wiki based like the ToS?
I believe wiki is better at tracking actual changes made. It seems like a better option.
This is very possible. A draft page could be created and submitted to Curia vote, and put the page in line with other 'official' site information. It might have to be protected though, or at least monitored with vigilance. An odd change there could cause much more mischief than an odd change to the FAQ.
The page can be locked except for specific users like the consul and his merry band of censors, or it can be set to automatically revert to the previous version if it's tampered with. There's a bunch of ways to protect it.

Protection does not look that simple I'm afraid, had a chat with Mac in addition to the latest of the Commentary. Any protection would be tedious technical work we probably won't get or just boil down to vigilance on the page. If there's a specific mediawiki feature built in not requiring file access to manage though, open to hearing about it.
Lack of any proper wiki/forum integration rears its head here...
That's at least some form of movement around here.Lack of any proper wiki/forum integration rears its head here...

Well gents, should I remake the poll and do it right this time or will we just let it happen?
IIRC the poll settings are not constitutionally mandated, just consular conventions. The only reason I'd see for redoing the poll is the grammatical mistake in the title.

Constitutionally citizens are 'not allowed' to see the results until the end of the poll. I don't know, maybe we can institute a 'no peeking' rule here...
Oh, well then. If it's fixed we probably don't need to mess with it, ei? Anything could happen...
Nah, not worth it. Honestly I don't even know why we need a poll for this since it's pure janitorial work.
They're necessary for actually divisive issues, like an Ostrakon, where accusations of influencing the voters can lead to demands for a re-vote. I told mostly so he would know for when a situation like that pops up.

That only Citizen apps have public votes and the rest anonymous is due to precedence I think, but it does say in the constitution that

What does that have to do with the Curia?
