If a Censor acts inappropriately, the person to VonC is the Consul. The Consul may be able to avoid this action by dismissing the Censor in question.
To VonC an appointed official and not the actual person responsible seems unnecessary. Moreover, if negligence is at issue, then that is an issue between the Consul and the Censors. The negligence will fall on the Consul not the Censor. As citizens we would not know ho the duties are delegated. The only person to logically VonC in the case of negligence is the Consul.

In the case of Abuse. if the Censor abused their authority, and if the Consul takes no action, then the person you VonC is the Consul because any action taken by the Censor is the same as if the Consul did it himself.

I agree with Iskar. It is simple mistake. I mean there is an accusation of purposely ignoring the Constitution, but without proof that accusation itself would be worse than the given offense.

    Let's have another election!
Not going to lie.. it hurts but I agree with Pike. Censors fall under the authority of the elected official, who is the only one that's vonc'able.

According to the constitution he should resign, however, doing that doesn't mean he cannot be re-elected as a "new" Consul. Which he can be and we shouldn't judge him too harsh as anyone can make a mistake and deserves a second chance.

There's no rule saying he should resign because of what looks to be transcribing at this moment.

The person who started it all has admitted it being a jest, then gave up his citizenship and Frunk than acted on something he deemed right. Then people started talking about fabricated discord messages. This is one giant cluster mess and nobody knows how the broom fits. Calling for KA's resignation is not only premature but also based on absolutely nothing.

I disagree, because KA are responsible what the Censors do or not do since he appointed them to carry out the day-by-day duties the Consul has. That is crystal clear in the constitution.

    And Frunk acknowledged that.

Come on, KA does not need to resign for such a trivial thing. A firm reprimand would be the most he needs to get for this, not a removal from office

I don't think one needs to resign over every ever so small error in office, either.

He should resign then accept to be re-elected as a Consul and I think most of us thinks KA is okay and ready to act as a Consul. Of course such elections needs to posted by a Censor.

If people would re-elect him after resignation then why resign in the first place? Resigning means you deem yourself no longer fit for the job, immediately re-running for the same job afterwards implies the contrary, which would make the resignation a very transparent mea-culpa manoeuvre instead of a genuine consequence draw from personal integrity.

An issue that would not keep you from re-running in the subsequent election should not make you resign in the first place.

I agree resignation is too far. This isn't negligent nor abuse of authority but a simple oversight.

I'm confused now. Why has the Veteraan Gavel Decision been moved to the Archives? I thought you guys wanted to go through with it as a decision?

It was at Flinn's bequest. It is my understanding that the wheels are already in motion to enact my every whim (or, at least, this whim) so I figured there was no need keeping the thread going. It is still my intention to make sure Veteraan gets his gavel.

I asked Akar to close it, since I consider it to be already valid as a request for rewarding Vet with a Gravel (fact is, you expressed your support, and since you are a Tribune, to me it was like you had requested it to Hex directly). I'm just avoiding going via an unnecessary vote and I've already posted about in the Hex quarters

it was not necessary to archive it now, but that's not an issue IMO
