Thanks for your service Hitai, you did really well considering the circumstances.

Just want to check is the change from Curator to Consul being implemented?

Imo it'd make sense to just hold it off until the Three Kingdom badges are made/implemented rather than making a new badge just for a month or two.

I made the new badge a month ago.

Since you already decided this is rather moot but hey. I would think it would be destroying a nice tradition that literally takes no effort whatsoever to do. So I'd keep it.

We've had a few elections take place since then, what does everyone think about how that's worked? Is three days too short? Shall we change it? Do we want to codify application length in the constitution somewhere?
It was outlined in the discussion that the application period should be 3 days too. It was the entire idea to have it at one week instead of two. I'm happy with it, as it was my idea but I'll be honest and say that my site activity has fallen dramatically so I might not be the one you should ask.

I know there isn't much precedent for Censors to give any kind of parting speech when they leave office (or there might be, but it's 2am and I'm too lazy to check), but I hope the Curia will indulge me. I had wanted to make these remarks sooner, but ultimately thought it best to wait until now. Despite all the drama and some truly harrowing weeks trying to manage this place without a Curator, I ultimately enjoyed my time as a Censor. It has been many years since I last served the site in an official capacity, and it was a pleasure and an honour to do so again once more. In truth, I would actually love to continue, but given that it's a new year and change is in the air (and I'm sure I've overstayed my welcome by now!), perhaps it is best for me to step aside and let someone else take over.

Firstly, I would like to thank atthias, who was my companion and comrade-in-arms throughout most of my term. Even though the Curia might not have seen it, behind the scenes you were always a professional, helpful and overall great Censor. I would have certainly had a far more stressful, difficult and miserable time had you not been by my side. It was a very peculiar experience, us two being the only two people in the Politia at times, but you made those days all the brighter. I wish you the best of luck in the remainder of your term my friend.

Secondly, I have to thank Tango for stepping in when times got rough and lending a hand. You graciously and patiently devoted your own time to helping us pick up the pieces when we were absent a Curator - not once, but twice. You also indulged far too much of my childish teasing, which was very sweet of you.

Next, I have to thank Brew, for always being on hand not only to offer his own sage wisdom, but to be there for me when I needed to let off some steam. Your help and advice throughout my two terms was invaluable and your guidance not only made me - I hope - a better Censor, but ultimately a better Citizen.

I would also like to thank Van Zandt, for holding me to the mast. I know we have spoken privately and cleared the air already, but I would like to say publicly again that I hold no ill will against you for the VonC and I respect you for sticking to your principles.

My dear old friends Alwyn and Cai are also deserving of my thanks. Despite the pair of you not being Curial regulars, you both took the time out of your days to check up on me and offer your support, and I do really appreciate it (as I appreciate all that you do). I would also like to extend that thanks to everyone - strangers and friends alike - who offered their own well wishes, help and advice throughout my tenure, whether they were public posts, PMs or even just rep messages. There are far too many of you to list, but each of your messages brought a smile to my face in otherwise rather trying times.

And last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank Pike, for - if you will excuse the bluntness - taking it on the chin. I hope you know that our decision was nothing personal and indeed that it ultimately transpired to be one I felt quite painful to make. So even though I do stand by what we did, there is a part of me that was sorry to do it. But I am honestly glad that it hasn't dampened your spirits and that you are still as active as ever here. I hope we can move on and put it behind us.

I think that's everything. I wish the best of luck to my successor - whoever he may be - and I hope 2019 will be a great year for the Curia. I think now I will finally have a bit of a rest~
This post is the only reason I'm posting here. You show the class you are known for by making this post. I'm a little touched by your words. You always made detailed reasoning's in your censor posts and it's something I valued a lot when I was still presiding over them as Curator. You are right up there on my favorite Censor's lists up with Vet and Ngugi to name some() I'm looking forward to chat with you more often now you got spare time

Yep, Hex looked into it awhile ago. According to Hader, he didn't have access to upload the image to the right directory. So we need Squid or another tech hex with the right privileges to do it. I have a couple of other things to draft up to Hex so will formally refollow up on it soon. Caligula makes a fair point though that it would probably be just fine to wait until all new badges are uploaded... I also know I need to update to Constitution changing the replace the Curator with Consul, will try to find time to do that soon.

I thought I had remembered some discussion about that but didn't see it in the amendment thread. I guess maybe it was here in the Townhall.

It seems we are a little behind on Curia reports, last one is from August.

Yep, I haven't forgotten. It's honestly pretty far down on the priority list though, more than likely it will be one of the last things I do before my term is up. It's nice to have that information compiled nicely in one place, but it's not something particularly urgent to have done, imo.

Certainly not a matter of life and death, but I believe it does give some insight about what has been going on in the Curia. On a personal note, I do want everybody to be able to see what I decided in my role as Censor. And they will, just not right away.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Diocle is worthy of citizenship according to some people in this thread. You heard it hear (here) first! (recently)

Impressive response as always. It's rather easy to see the difference between the two.

I dont have anything to say other than your tongue in cheek response is obviously wrong. Here's a thread from diocle: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...er-quot-thread find me anything posted by anyone which falls below that level on this forum if you can. Saying Vanoi is at that level is stupendously offbase. You really reveal more about your character making statements like these than say anything about someone else's.

All I see is an angry partisan in this thread from 2018 that was not relevant to the original application Diocle was a part of in 2017. What exactly is different between him and an angry partisan of some different sort, say a socialist?

There is no coherent point to your question. It is by nature a loaded question because ultimately your nameless, faceless socialist is a concept which you yourself have subjectively imagined and developed into a strawman of everything you assume is wrong with Diocle only to your imagined opposite extent.

You should be ashamed you're even trying to advance this point. It isn't going anywhere.
