Unfortunately, that won't happen this year due to serious issues in RL. Don't worry I am not serious ill, but what's happening in RL keeps me busy so my free time are limited.

Does this mean you'll need to resign from the Praefect position you just won? Either way, hope everything is okay .

Seriously, thats enough. I suggest we make a decision, hopefully the hex accepts it, which would forbid RL from taking our time and life away from TWC!

How can one finish a mod when RL is taking your time from it? How can one serve properly as a moderator and check TWC as many times a day as refreshing the page allows when you have to go to work? How can one respond to every new interesting comment when you dont even have time to read them all? How, how, how...

Well, I wouldn't take it too personal. This is an internet forum and people act quirky For the record, I never vote against anyone running unopposed. These positions are all pretty rudimentary and the sucking up of your free time is the most taxing part of each. I mean I have successfully been a Magistrate twice and 11 people people voted against me. LOL It is cool

Not really. Unless you are negligent or a jerk, you can't really go wrong.

I know what you mean. Prefect won't be doing much anyway. I mean, we all will behave for ya! LOL

This is probably the one fact people forget. We all do this in our free time which can be very limiting at times. With that in mind, it does make the mind wonder why people will act jerkish to people. If I have choice betwen writing something nasty towards someone or spending time with my child and wife, I choose the latter every time.

Then again this place is a kick in the pants ain't it. LOL

    What are you talking about?

I wasn't elected since the result was in red and if I had won then the result would be in green.

Besides, if I was elected then I would have already been part of the Praefectus group, but I am not part of that group.

You were elected. Polls in the Curia vote section are set to show green at 66% of the vote, but only 51% is required to win a Praefect election. Thus, you won. You will be added to the Praefect usergroup as soon as an Admin sees my post in the admin action thread.

So, again, will you be unable to carry out your duties as Praefectus due to rl obligations or are you going to be able to serve your term?

You won a majority of non-abstaining votes.

It's 51% of the non-abstaining votes. Not to mention that the constitution only specifically mentions that in the case of elections you must receive the majority of votes, which you did. if you don't want your new position just let me know and I can just start new elections.

There are 17 votes. 4 voted to abstain. Now there are 13 votes. 8 voted for you, 5 did not. You won the majority of the non abstaining votes.

The Constitution states that you need the highest number of votes to win the election. That is the same as saying that you need to win a majority of votes not including the abstentions. If you remove the abstentions from the equation that means you won 8 out of 13 votes which is 61% of all ballots cast. So I say again, you won the election. Congratulations, welcome to the praefecti

Now, that makes it a lot easier for me to understand and I think that kind of statics should be mentioned in the constitution.

I also wonder why is the Election article not with the Curial Officers article as both are tied to each other.

Section I - Citizenship and Curial Officers

    Section II - The Curia

Both articles should be a separate section IMO. The Consul article belongs to the Curia section.

The original idea of the sections was that section I states the general structures and offices and section II explains all the voting procedures, hence the separation.
