    Default Editing unit special ablites

    Im working with BI and I want to know how to assign special ablities to units. Directing me to another post or tutorial would be fine, or some help here...

    That was real helpful. But I didn't see anything that gives missile units the ability to fire flaming arrows or missiles etc. Its a little frustrating looking for it. Also what files are required to give people that ability (like text files, textures . maybe a fire arrow texture?, im not sure the mod folder doesn't include alot of things. Also how do I give the boiling oil ablity I need alt of help.

    Having flaming arrows depends on whether or not the unit's projectile type has a 'fiery' variant defined in descr_projectile_new.txt. Boiling oil can't be given to units.

    I meant the buildings...giving the castles the ablitiy to pour boiling oil, or walls or gateway. whatever pours it down.
    And how can I give the firey arrow special ability to archers. Can someone process me throught this and be specifc

    Bro,archers already have it,it is tied to their ammo type,so no need to edit,just custom battle and see.

    As for boiling oil is tied to another building file,but not sure which,it is usually for stone gateways by default.

    To answer your questions properly,is this for moddling or just editing a personal game? Moddling is more involved that's why I ask.
