Removing or adding units in game

I am in Campaign Model -> World -> Faction Array -> Faction -> Army_Array and whenever I try to remove a unit in there the game CTD upon loading. Is there another reference to that unit somewhere else? No General or Admiral was assigned to that unit so I don't know what's up with that.

You can not add or remove armies, only change ownership. There must be at least one character connected with the army (general or colonel).
