Help with odd CTD

Hello. I've searched the forums but so far haven't been able to find anything applicable to my current issue.

I'm playing as the Romani and am in the year 187BC and the campaign has been going fine up until this point. My problem is whenever I get to this point the game will advance the turn but when my turn comes up again the mouse cursor will not change from the hourglass and I cannot click on anything and am forced to ctrl-alt-delete the game.

I have tried reloading previous saves from a few (~5) and it continues to happen when i get to this point. I have also tried running the game without the scipt (have tried up to three turns in a row) and the turn advances perfectly but the mouse glitch happens whenever activate the script and advance the turn.

I've also noticed some settlements revolting to the rebels/other factions and have used add_population to keep everything as it is for these few turns and still nothing will help.

I've tried to be as thorough as possible. This is probably my favorite game even with it being an older mod and I'd greatly appreciate any and all help with this problem.

EDIT: After a few more reloads and really just doing something a little different every time, I managed to get a few turns beyond where it normally does this. So it appears to be fixed, so the moral of this post is to just keep trying and (maybe) your luck will improve.
