OK, so now that I've gotten the basics in for the skeletons, I do have one question:

is it concievable to have the soldiers march lockstep? as it is, the soldiers exhibit excessive variation in when they start moving, and at what rate, when marching even in open terrain. This is for my mod, which involves a time when soldiers were trained to march in lockstep.

in the meantime: I've figured out how to have soldiers shoulder arms
I haz a culler!! (really, who gives a darn? its totally meaningless, and it doesn't really accurately reflect who I am)

There's a 'synchronise animations' setting in preferences.txt, which does exactly that, I believe.

Well, the synchronize animation part in the preferences only affects the actual animations, not the cohesion of a formation. There's nothing much to do about it, other than making units trained and disciplined in the edu and have them walk in battle instead of running, since that doesn't break the cohesion of formation as much as having them run.
I read this so called Bible, and found it to be a third rate story in which this so called 'jesus' is nothing more than a shameless lampooning of Brian, which has inspired joy and laughter in millions.

I know, but I was looking for a way of simulating that, while allowing the men to fire at will, or at least lose cohesion in the firing.
