Do you like artillery-battles like me, but you dont feel like you would be Napoleon with his huge artillery-units?
Here's a tutorial, how to change the amount of canons. The infantry- and cavalery-units wont have more soldiers after his change.
You need:
- 1 ETW
- 1 ModManager
Download: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=240335
- 1 DBEditor
Download: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=280329
- 1 mod_patch3.pack
Download: http://users.telenet.be/johan_eaf274/downloads/mod_patch3.zip
1. Step
Unpack and save the mod_patch3.zip into your Data-Folder (Ordner C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data)
2. Step
Open the DBEditor and select on the left side the File mod_patch3.pack. Open this file.
(don't open the original Patch3.pack.-File. This file cant be changed)

3. Step
Disable "CA Packs Are Read Only"
![]()
4. Step
Open the table "unit_stats_land_tables\unit_stats_land
![]()
5. Step
The column "Size" and "#Artillery" has to be changed. Be carefull to change both column like x2, x3...
Each artillery must have enough soldiers. If 1 canon has 6 soldiers => 10 canons needs 60 solider (coefficient x10).
The data in this opened table are for unit-size "ultra". If you double all datas, these changes will also increase all unit-sizes (small, middle...)
If you double all datas, a ordinary foot-art has 8 canons and 48 soldiers.
Save your changes. This can take a pair of minutes (be patient / DBEditor will send no response for a short moment). If you have saved your mod-file, open the Modmanager, select your file, save the change and start ETW with the launch-button).

This mod will be compatible with BSM-Mod and for your campaigns (but not for saved-files)
Have fun generals
