This is where you post things you like about NTW even if it's not done yet...

Well I don't have much good to say about the game as seeing that it's not out yet.

    1. Well....it's a total war game that I really hope is good?
    Generally people **** on me...

i like the idea of the 2 week turns- so less taxes, making armies more valuable (aslong as the AI is smart this time around)
the atrition system also looks awsome aswell making the campaign map more strategic rather than just moving dudes around

Attrition. In previous TW games it's been so easy to take Moscow because there was none of the attrition that real armies suffered

    1. Historical Accuarcy in uniforms (pretty good so far)
    2. Better gameplay and AI then ETW (come on, we can be sure about that)
    3. New multiplayer options
    4. Better graphics and physics systems, like explosions and camera shakes
    5. Attrition

    (6. God damn I hope its easily moddable like RTW, that would be perfect, I have just started modding RTW, and I'm addicted!)

Don't let King Louise Assurbanipal read that (I wonder if he meant Louis? Probably not the place to ask). That guy can see down to the stitching on ETW's uniforms and he isn't impressed! Personally I'm pretty happy with them, but I'm more into diversity in the appearance of individual soldiers rather than accuracy per se.

But I guess the attrition, the changed reinforcing, and the 2 weeks/turn which makes the recruiting time slower and battles more important to play by yourself.

I already look forward to the comics depicting Napoleon get shot to bits by artillery and just re-appear houndreds of miles away unharmed the next turn

finnally a thread with positive stuff .

I like the thing that you can't replenish your regiments in cities but will have to wait over time.

It is a refreshing change, and I don't recall reading anything about this, does this mean units will automatically reinforce, but it will simply take a number of turns to do so?

The 'drop in' feature for the single player campaign. To have my own campaign, but have real, thinking humans to fight on the battlefield sounds like a blast. Can't wait to drop in to other peoples campaigns too!

For me it's the attrition feature. I'm really curious to see how it influences play.

The 2-week turn time will influence gameplay the most I reckon.

Because it will (seem to) take longer to build things - units and buildings. You won't be able to 'magic' a stack to defend an invasion and that will change the campaign alot I reckon.

each turn you only get a small amount of income, in fact, a turns worth of income is probably less thn any amounts needed to do anything, so decisions made will need to be much more decisive and army losses are more crucial, as you will have to wait many turns most likely before being to recruit more units
