    Default Why civil war ??

    Im playing as the French and the cavary is going well.

    A few years ago, I pushed the English settlements of the continent, and I got excommunicated for it. Since then I closed ranks down south west, to choke of any Spansih invasion. I gave Pamplona to the Pope (the castle between France and Spain). The Germans are sitting put in peace, and I have perfect relations.
    Because of the 6 years Excommunication, I got a civil war over me.


    Now this is the 3rd King since the "civil war" begun, but I'm still having an 'inspiration to civil war'. I also grew some better stats, example I have
    • 7 Authority
    • Perfect relation with the pope, full star, not excommunicated, allys, etc.
    • 20 000 is profit
    I do want to know what a Kingsmaker is? "Did a kingsmaker set him upon the throne?"

    I have 3 rebel generals, so maybe I'm not doing that bad....

    I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

    Wow, only 43 turns and all that action!

    I don't know if this would help but build educational buildings (for governors) and drill square (for generals), that has made all the difference from previous campaign with my generals.

    Yeah, abit to much expansionism there to be honest. It just wreaked any diplomatic process in the High - Late era. Every one hates me, and I have to "buy friends".

    I have never heard of sollutions of building educationel buildings, I guess all other DLV'ers are lost, even as there is a SAVE GAME UPLOADED.....

    Kingmaker usually is a former "regent'.... So new king was after the kingdom was in regency. But it's a little wonky. Sometimes you get it even if the crown goes back to the original line which makes no sense.

    which options did you turn on at the beginning of the campaign? that has an influence over the whole campaign.

    i was wondering and since this is related to it i don't want to make a new post. Can you stand behind your soverign without half your general's rebelling inside a settlement when the civil war starts? just wondering if i could kill the rebels without having to sacrifice my soverign to the independent soverigntys. or is it always best to kill your king and let your heir get the kingmaker trait?
