What difficulties do you use for battles/campaigns? Which do you think is the most realistic?
I looked for a thread like this but didn't find one, though one probably exists somewhere...

Im tired of everyone calling me testicles. Jeez
I always play on Medium/Medium because I think that is where no side has an advantage over another. I like a fair fight! I do try to roleplay my faction and its family members. I am not in it for the hack and slash. Well, except for a barbarian village now and then.![]()

I play on H/M. VH/M is just a little too lop-sided for the AI, IMO, but the AI's not aggressive enough on M/M.
I never play on anything but medium battle difficulty. I've spent a great deal of time balancing these units in the last couple of years, and I'm not going to go mucking it up.If I want a tougher battle I play by tougher house rules.

Medium battles all the time.
I'm usually tempted to play with hard campaigns but this depends on how I'm generally feeling. With a really difficult faction, or a faction whose style I'm not really used to I'll go with medium. With the likes of say, Armenia, I'll be sorely tempted to try very hard. Usually it is hard though.
VH/VH. the accuracy of the battles and campaign map is terrible lol but 5 years of playing rtw under some shape of form means the AI is second nature. you have to be very methodical and its tedious with a computer that takes 2 mins to load from every screen but the game does feel like a project than a source of entertainement.
then again some of my strategies might be considered as 'advanatageous' of the AI so i'm perhaps not as bad ass as many of you playing on lower difficulties but playing with strict house rules
Strict house rules (if you want to sack everything in your way, then play as a barbarian), and H/H. VH feels too much like letting the AI cheat.
