So i started a bhyzantine game and about 70 turns in constaniople nearly turned into istanbul when a jihad got called on it. I went through 14 siege defences with large stone walls and ballista towers, i had almost every time 4 treb archers and 4 militia archers yet not once in all those defenses have i EVER lit a siege tower on fire--it was perfect weather every time also.
I just tried to siege 4 hungarian towns/castles and every single time my towers went up in flames almost instantly--it dident matter that it was a blizzard nor pouring rain. Now vanilla MTW2 i know there was a slight adjustment in the AI's favor in their siege towers resistance to flame but they dident have a damn bonus. I think its prettying outrageous to see a siege tower take 2 flaming ballista bolts and 8 archer units shooting flaming arrows at it and it trundles through like its nothing while your towers seem to continually catch fire once half your unit has gotten in it.
