DLC Units where are they ?

Where are the Elite units of America, Elite units of the West? I would like to edit them but I can't find them. Thanks,

They're in the patch3.pack file of the ETW data folder. But you may not be able to edit them retexture-wise.

I've looked and can't find them; do you know what there named? The Editor says it's opening Pack3 where you check it but I also looked where you pick how many of the unit's and I'm sure there not there. Any help you can give me thanks a lot

This is a question that I have as well and would like to know the anwser.

I just want to increase the number of men in each unit from 160 to 250 and I have managed to do that for all the units that I want with dbeditor but I cannot locate these new units. I know I have them as they show up in the GC.

Any help.

I don't know how much of the Elite Units of the West are supposed to be off limits for modders, but you can generally change the size of the units beyond ultra in the following way:

1. Open the "preferences.empire_script" text file located, if on a Windows XP computer, in the C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Account On the Computer]\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts folder. You need to set your computer to showing hidden folders and files in order to see this file.

2. Find the line "campaign_unit_multiplier" there and change its value to 1.6, if you want the same unit size when set to "huge" in game as me (160 X 1.6 = 256) or a different value for a smaller or larger size. Note that not all values seem to work, though. I have not tried them all but I know for certain that 1.4 and 2.5 work as well.

3. Save your editing (be sure to save in Unicode), exit the text file, and start up ETW with new numbers on the field.

I just managed to figure out this issue by searching and searching and hitting the answer HERE and reading the pro's explanations.

Read at least page 29 to 31 +if like me and things are getting a bit difficult for you then download the file posted by Johan217 on page 31 for a easier to edit mod file. He's extracted the patch3.pack elite units of americas tables and added them to a database editor mod-able file for everyone.
