Will the Men of the Mountain be implemented at a later date, or not at all? If implemented with they be Jackson irrepressable wall of green, or an army or dread inspiring but hackable skeletons? Just curious what the mod leaders are planning on.![]()

Are you talking about the army of the dead?
If so then hope that they will not be included. For several reasons, discussed already enough times.
And if you want to see what the team wants to do, than look at the "Eriador Re-Developement" thread.![]()
And none gived any relevant argument against Army of Dead. Don't you remember? There is no evidence in lore about Army of Dead being physical or spiritual. But because similar creatures (Nazguls, Barrow-wights) are physical, it's only logical to assume that Army of Dead was physical too.![]()

Well they did not fight but only scared the corsairs off their ships.

I really hope I didn't start a thread I will regret....![]()
Legolas said so.Faint cries I heard, and dim horns blowing, and a murmur as of countless far voices: it was like the echo of some forgotten battle in the Dark Years long ago. Pale swords were drawn; but I know not whether their blades would still bite, for the Dead needed no longer any weapon but fear![]()
Computer specifications -
GPU: GTX 780
CPU: Intel i5 2500k overclocked @ 4 GHz
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
Motherboard: Asrock z77 extreme 4
All i can say is surely not for 1.4
Don't know Kong's plans for 1.5 - but i also guess they won't be implented, at least not as units![]()
Probably correct all around. I know someone had developed 3ds Max models of actual skeletons. While probably not worthy of DG or KK or offical mod team, perhaps a submod?
For example Nazguls - they fought rarely too, but not because they couln't but because they needn't - usualy the dread was enough.

Except we know that the Nazgul used physical weaponry, not spiritual.
There is no evidence of that for the Army of the Dead. In fact, if Legolas, Gimli, or whoever, specifically stated that they didn't know if the blades would still bite, implies that the raiment and weaponry of the Army of the Dead were spiritual representations of what the Men of the Mountain used in life.
I think they would be cool
That does not have to mean anything. The dead would only have to scare him to such a degree that he would not turn back and keep him imprisoned at the door. Naturally he would try to hew his way out and he would die of hunger/thirst/fear if they would just sit around and let´s face it: You´d rather do nothing then having to stab him.
Cyclops disn't say that they used weapons. In his posts, it's made clear the opposite. He just pointed u tht reading the books would be of your benefit, as would be to the other people here having seen just the films, which aren't a great representation of Middle Earth and The Lord of the Ring books.
