    Default First Campaing in 3.5.3

I tried the roman campaing in H/H. After 4 consecutive ruinous defeats against Pyrrus i decided to begin a M/M campaing. This time the Eagle of Epyrus was defeated by the legion (clear victory) but at a horrendous price.

hundreds of young men of the republic lie dead in the fields of samnium, plus dozens of roman citizens of senatorial rank. Besides that the campanian and latin nobles are decimated, but their sacrificed saved the day.

We must give thanks to the enemy general also, as he sacrificed his precious elephants besieging one of our cities and then let our legions choose the best posible terrain and climate for the battle. (the battle was fought in woody hills so the phalanx was in a disadvantage plus it was raining so the effectiveness of the enemy archers was severily reduced)

Pyrrus fled from the fields and hide behind the walls of tarentum, but our legions are besiegeing the city.

To our shame we must confess that Laevinus fled the field too, even before Pyrrus, but an oportune ambush to the enemy general bodyguard by a humble unit of italic skirmishers saved the the socii of being enveloped by the generalīs unit.

    More news soon.

PD: I very much like the changes in the composition and relative strenght of the epitote and roman armies in italy at the begining of the campaing, although i must confess that I wasnīt a match for the AI playing in H/H.
