    Default How do you create a new General?

    I'm reading the tutorials on how to edit existing units but how do you create a new General with traits, ancillaries, etc? Is there a thread somewhere that details how to do it?

    EDIT #1: Okay I figured out how to modify existing generals rather than create from scratch. However I am having a hard time trying to get the game to recognize new surnames. I followed the renaming generals/kings/etc guide but I noticed a couple of things that didn't work right. One the guide said to make your new pack file a MOVIE type. Common sense dictates that's wrong and the game does CTD when I did it that way. I changed it to MOD and it loads fine. However the changes I made to the localisation.loc file doesnt seem to take. My names show up blank in game.

    EDIT #2: Did some testing. I purposely renamed one of the existing last names to something else:
    names_name_names_frenchBelcher Belcher became
    names_name_names_frenchBelcher Testme

    and then I changed the variable of one of the french generals to names_name_names_frenchBelcher but when I load the game it shows up as Belcher. So my pack file is being ignored. Anyone seen this issue before?

    EDIT #3: Okay I finally got what i wanted but I made the change manually on the patch_en.pack file (toggled off read only). Wow that was silly... Is there some mod load order or something somewhere?
