Does the Mulghal Empire ever beat the Marathans

Have you ever seen those plucky Mulghals beat the mean old Marathans at their own game?

I know thats how its rigged on purpose but in all my games so far the Marathans win outright in under 30 years, so just curious if it was possible for the Mulghal AI to turn the tide (preferably without direct player intervention)?

Never. I've never seen them come close. Not even with trade help from me. Of course if I take the field in the south and the Mughals have the north then it's a different story, but never on their own.

There is no telling how many campaigns Ive played of ETW. Ive played countless games with every faction. Ive never seen the Mughals win against Maratha once. Ive allied with them, traded with them, given them all my techs, I even have the patch of DMUC that handicaps Maratha to slow them down.

Ive seen the Mughals hold their own for the first 25-50 years or so. But eventually they have always fallen in my campaigns. Im sure its possible for them to win but I highly doubt youve seen it in 3/10 of your campaigns without interference.

I've seen them getting India once, of all the games i played. Most of the time i have to be in a hurry to find a piece of Inia left by the Marathas

Closest I've seen them come was when the Marathas were stupid enough to let Carnatica turn into a rebel province. Mughals lasted until 1730 in that game, as opposed to dying off in 1715

They just did in mine, then again Mughals allied with PErsia and ottomans so perhap that had to do with it

Jesus Christ alive lol, that's a long time to be playing a campaign. Looks like it's become quite interesting though. Got any territories in America/India?

On topic, in my current campaign i just went for the Mughals and the Marathas helped. It's what the nice lady said to do.

I've never seen it eithout intervention even with trade and tech handouts MC still wins. I also find Poland often becomes far stronger than it used too and takes down eiter prussia or austria early on. This seems to be a balance issue since the last patch.

I played Act 4 in RTI the other day on VH/VH. The Mulghals beat the Marathans back pretty early. Im guessing the reason for this is the starting positions are different in RTI. The Brits have been super aggressive. It seems like every 5 years they declare war on me. Same with Spain.

I just started another campaign as the Marathans and ever since 1.5 the Brits have been very aggressive. I think its about 1713 and the Brits sent a full stack and fleet and invaded. I killed their army but their huge fleet is sitting outside. Again, they declare war about every 5 years and blockade the out of me. This is the first time I've seen the Brits in India other then RTI Ep:4

Yeah I played a British campaign in 1.3 I think the Marathas were conquered by the Mughals. They reemerged and conquered South India until I conquered the north and turned south.

I think you will find that if a faction is destroyed in E:TW it can't re-emerge (as they did in M:TW) but they come fact as 'faction' rebels.

Actually they can reemerge if their former capital rebels successfully. Please don't BS to try and slack Empire off
