Default Who cares about the science

    CO2 will soon be illegal

In response to the Mods for further clarification:

Let's not wait until the science is actually solid after the scandal of ClimateGate and the dubious relationship between humanity and global warming. Let's not wait for the expert minds to actually sieve out all the political axe-grinding and return to their labs for some actual research. Let's just jerk our knees and begin the overwhelming legislation that is likely to cripple the economies and businesses of those countries that actually attempt to curtail their production while ruining the lives and livelihoods of those who don't. While those countries that don't give two about this nonsense rumble merrily on (e.g. China, India, Brazil, etc).

To be governed is to be watched, inspected, directed, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, and commanded, by creatures who have neither the right, wisdom, nor virtue to do so. To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, taxed, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, admonished, reformed, corrected, and punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted, and robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, abused, disarmed, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, and betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, and dishonored. -Pierre-Joseph Proudhon

I guess all the greenies better stop breathing now, since they are polluting the atmosphere with their evil CO2. Which just so happens to be the stuff necessary for all life on the planet, but don't worry about that. Its a "public danger" now. Listen to your leaders, not the evil conservative people who are trying to mislead you away from the path of greenness.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, because the respiration of humies is such a huge part of anthropogenic CO2 emissions.
Did you overclock your regurgitator chip?

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, because it would so include non-anthropogenic sources of CO2.
To make an equally flawed analogy: How about immersing you completely in water. Surely this wouldn't hurt you because water is essential to life. Right?

So your point is that because the amount of CO2 humans emit is so small (5% -10%) that they get a free pass? This is the problem I have with most tree-huggers, whatever they do is OK, it's just everyone else that needs to clean up their act. It's like when Al Gore flys private jets around or has a dozen houses he'll never use, it's somehow OK for his carbon footprint to be bigger than the rest of us. Another example is when they wanted to build a windmill farm, great idea right? Then Ted Kennedy found out it was in his backyard and he killed the project.

Frankly the whole "reduce your carbon emissions" is a scam so that the rich can use what we don't. The more people they can cram into public transportation means there is one less car crowding up the rich peoples roads. The less oil we use (because of all the carbon taxes), means that there is more for the rich to us.

I was actually talking about respiration, darling.

Blanket statement based on what exactly?

Two people are hypocrites, how does this invalidate parts or the entirety of environmentalism?

Oh god, please get a clue on what you talk about before you post rubbish like that on the internet. My best advice to you would be to PM a moderator and plead with him/her to delete that post.

Deleted a few off-topic posts and edited another. Let's not get too personal and get off-topic please guys. While I'm at it can I suggest the O.P should be updated? It's really doesn't offer much of an opening statement.

OP, this has nothing to do with CO2 being made illegal. You don't grind your axe any sharper by making shite up.

Um... I haven't made anything up bud. Read the article and consider the context. thx.

I've read the damned article and it says absolutely nothing about making C02 illegal.

Why are you talking about a subject which you clearly do not understand, posting articles which you clearly have no read?

    *sigh*

Let's declare CO2 a public danger (which it isn't but let's not let that muddle our thinking).
Let's further enhance or create legislation placing upper limits on the amount that can be created as a result of dubious environmental science i.e. make it illegal to emit more than amount X arbitrarily decided by the EPA as a result of arbitrary science.
So, it's not a stretch to say they are making it illegal. I can be accused to hyperbole, but not willful misdirection.

    Thx

No, it is utter rubbish to say they are making it illegal. Your post is intentionally misleading.

I apologize that my sarcasm is lost on those who take themselves and their religions so seriously. Wait... no I don't.

Did you not care to notice the At the end of the first sentence. Or were you so ready to stoke the heretical fires that you completely ignored it opting instead to reach for the can of accelerant?

Reading the article, that looks exactly like what they were saying. It's not illegal, it's only mostly illegal.

That's just an oxymoron. It should go without saying that this isn't making "CO2 illegal". That's retarded.

Semantics. So that's your fuss? What of the actual contents OF THE BLEEDING ARTICLE? Or, do you care not to comment in your reckless drive to make my use of verbiage ridiculous?
