    Default Scripting sieges

Is there any way that I can tell an army to attack a settlement. I know what year I want to it to do it, and what settlement, and who will lead the army. How can I do that?

    Dunno exactly, but :

    siege_settlement <settlement> <character>

Might be something else, just consult the docudemons

There should really be a thread about what works in scripting for MTW2 and for RTW

Just look in the relevant docudemons, that's an M2TW command only.

Could you try ordering Army A to attack Army B, which happens to be inside the settlement?

I tried that and it didn't work

Is there a way to select an item on the strat map?

I know you can do "select_character Bla" and "select_settlement Bla" which both activate the unit/settlement to get a green circle below it like when you click on a unit/settlement yourself.
But I more want it to be selected like you would select an UI item. Because if you select an UI item, you can then use "simulate_mouse_click lclick_down" to press that UI element. And now I was wondering if you could select a character with "select_character Bla" and then select the settlement to attack in the same way as an UI element and then use "simulate_mouse_click rclick_down". ie, you would perform the same action as the player would when attacking a city.

I haven't had any success to find such a command to select a settlement like you select an UI item though
